I wrote a book: Mastering Quantum Computing with IBM QX

I wrote a book during my pregnancy on quantum computing. Packt approached me, based on my work in quantum computer simulation and education (kickstarted in this post). They asked me to write a book proposal, which they accepted, and then we negotiated an advance. My writing goals were a chapter a week. After our baby was born and I returned to work after my maternity leave, that reduced to a chapter a month. The final edits were a sprint and the book ended up more than 300 pages and was delivered approximately on the original timeline.

My goal with the treatment of this subject was for the book to be approachable for anyone with a high school education and some programming experience, preferably in Python. The programming projects include creating a synthesizer which makes chords based on quantum computation.
